A.C.T. Constitution

Article I. Name: Association of Crafty Thespians (A. C. T.)

Article II. Purpose: To be a general entertainment club; to perform for Sunny Hills students for free; to alleviate ennui in hospital patients, nursing home elderly, elementary school students, etc.

Article III. Eligibility: Membership unrestricted (director, casting director, producer, writer, actor, etc.). Those interested should audition and/or submit their work (scripts, videos, etc.). Members and/or their work will go before judging panel before presentation of final product in front of an audience.

Article IV. Time and Place of Meetings: A. C. T. will hold its weekly meetings on Tuesday in Room 33. The adviser is Mrs. Terry Fyne

Article V. Dues: None.

Article VI. Number, Type, Definition of Duties of all officer and election procedures: Elections will be held 2 weeks after A. C. T. is established as a club. A democratic procedure will determine the winner.

President: Oversee cabinet, plan events, preview and decide which performances will be presented along with the cabinet, etc.

Vice President: Arrange for rides, help plan events, preview and decide which performances will be presented along with president, etc.

Publicist: Advertise for club (make posters, word-of-mouth, etc), encourage audience, etc.

Secretary: Record meeting minutes; keep members updated on upcoming events via e-mail and blog; keep track of community service hours (hospitals, elementary schools, nursing homes, etc.)

Webmaster: Update blog and website; share responsibility of updating with secretary.

Article VII. Amendment Procedures: A 2/3 majority vote of members present is required to amend the club's constitution. All amendments must be cleared through the club's cabinet.

Article VIII. Meetings: The meetings will consist of in-club performances, critiques, suggestions, discussion of upcoming events, final productions, etc.

Ø Etc (realistic, exaggerated, humorous, dramatic, meaningful, amusing)
